Agriturismo La Rocca della Rosa
Our farmhouse is an ancient house in Zafferana Etnea, in the province of Catania. We are in Sicily, halfway from Catania and Taormina, in the context of the wonderful landscape that characterizes the Natural Park of the Etna volcano. Our agriturismo is ideal for those who desire to live holidays characterized by relaxation, tradition and regional cuisine. A place where to enjoy the smells of the garden, among wonderful roses and a great wisteria that covers the house up to the first floor. Moreover, a suggestive garden of cherry, olive and nut trees, vineyards and mimosas creates an unforgettable naturalistic location.
Restaurant
The old cellar has been restored to obtain a spacious restaurant hall where we serve delicious regional dishes. Every recipe is prepared with genuine and high quality ingredients that grow directly in our gardens. On request it is even possible to ask for specific menus or organize weddings, ceremonies, birthdays, meetings or work breakfasts. The fixed menu includes entrees, first and second course, water, wine and dessert, for a total of 25. Moreover, you can rent the hall and organize the meal by yourself. The restaurant is open every day but the reservation is needed.
Swimming Pool and Activities
At the agritourism we organise cooking classes and bridge or decoupage courses. The lessons vary depending on the level requested, indeed they are ideal both for beginners and expert. For those who prefer to live holidays characterized by open air experience, we propose excursions, guided tours along the paths of the Etna Park, river trekking, diving, archaeological visits or survival courses. Moreover, near the farmhouse there is a riding stable where to organize lessons or pleasant rides in the surrounding nature.
Sea and Surroundings
Starting from the farmhouse it is possible to reach the Alcantara Canyons and the wonderful Randazzo and Acireale, renowned for the typical Sicilian baroque. We can even suggest the most interesting destinations along the eastern coast of the island, from Acitrezza and its marine reserve to Taormina, up to Giardini Naxos. The seaside is at nearly 10 km from the agriturismo and, on request, our guests can rent for little boats at the port of Riposto. Moreover, in winter you can discover the ski areas along the slopes of the Etna Volcano and find relax in the suggestive refuge Sapienza.
